Functions
In this state, a corresponding control signal is required to change to pressure regulation mode with the
auto normal setpoint pressure. Depending on the selection, this control signal must be generated by
an output control bit or one of the two electrical inputs.
Status signals and status signals of the pressure control and blocking function are displayed in an
input word for process monitoring by the user.
In both user-controlled and automatic pressure regulation there is an internal module setpoint pres-
sure value limitation to a range of 0.25 MPa … 1 MPa (2.5 bar … 10–bar; 36.3 psi … 145.04 psi) and a
parameterisable setpoint pressure rise limitation.
The entire structure of the pressure regulation and blocking function with all sub-functions, oper-
ands, inputs, outputs, parameters and error/diagnostic messages is described in the Function Struc-
ture section.
5.1.5.2
User-controlled pressure regulation and blocking function, USER
The user-controlled pressure regulation and blocking function is activated if the auto user output
control, Am.0.1 has the value 0, not active.
In this state, the user can then switch the shut-off valve to the pressurise or block status with the
output controller shut-off valve, Am.0.0. The switching status of the shut-off valve is signalled in input
Em.3.0.
For the setpoint pressure value for the pressure regulating valve, the setpoint pressure user selection,
Am.0.3-0.4, output can be used to select the following values and functions:
–
Power-on setpoint pressure, with the setpoint pressure power-on parameter, Pm.28.2, adjustable to
1 MPa (10 bar; 145.04 psi) or 0.6 MPa (6 bar; 87.02 psi).
–
minimum setpoint pressure, 0.25 MPa (2.5 bar; 36.3 psi).
–
deactivated electronic pressure regulation.
–
variable setpoint pressure setting via user setpoint pressure output, Am.2.
At power-on and any further user-side increase in the setpoint pressure value, the rise slope is limited
to the value set with the setpoint pressure rise limitation parameter, Pm.28.4-28.6.
The time diagram shows the module behaviour after power-on and subsequent variable target pres-
sure adjustment to 2 different values.
