Connecting the energy efficiency module to the network
1. Connect the bus node to the network with the NECU-MS-D12G4-C2-ET or FBS-RJ45-PP-GS con-
nector.
2. Seal the unused connections with cover caps or blanking plugs to achieve the specified degree of
protection.

Setting DIL switches
You can set the following parameters with the DIL switches:

The operating mode. The energy efficiency module only supports the Remote I/O operating mode in
conjunction with the bus node CPX(-M)-FB44.

The diagnostics mode.
