Aligning X-axes
DANGER
Danger of death and property damage due to falling planar surface gantry.
If several adjusting kits are adjusted at the same time, the planar surface gantry can loosen from the
mounting surface and fall down.
• Adjust only one screw of an adjusting kit at a time.
• Ensure that there is sufficient screw-in depth for the screws: for steel

8 mm.
• Make sure that no one is located underneath the planar surface gantry.

1. Align the X-axis guide rails with suitable tools and measuring equipment:
–
Flatness
–
Side tilt
–
Height offset
–
Parallelism
NOTICE
• Observe the limit values of the axis alignment
8.2.2 Limit values of X-axis alignment.
• Follow the procedure for alignment with adjusting kits
• Check the X-axis guide rails at every position of an adjusting kit.
• Align the guide rails with the adjusting kit of the test position.
2. Tighten the socket head screws of the adjustment kits. Tightening torque 24 Nm
When tightening the socket head screws the Y-axis (cross-brace) must be at the position of the
adjusting kit.
