Mounting (horizontal mounting position)

2. Push the Y-axis (cross-brace) with the carriage to the belt tensioning setting piece.

Distance dimension L11 is set for the test.

3. Align the probe of the acoustic frequency meter

 centrally on the toothed belt under the belt

tensioning setting piece. Keep a short distance between the probe and toothed belt.

4. Hit the toothed belt once with a narrow, heavy object, e.g. Allen key , to set it vibrating.

The toothed belt must be able to vibrate freely and must not touch the probe of the frequency
measurement device. For evaluation of the toothed belt pretension, perform several measure-
ments to balance out any measurement tolerances.

The frequency meter shows the internal frequency of the toothed belt.

5. Compare the measurement result with the frequency setpoint value.
