Information
NOTICE
Transport and differences in temperature during storage cause warping.
A warped planar surface gantry causes malfunctions and increased wear.
• Carry out the following steps carefully to align the planar surface gantry precisely and the eliminate
distortion.
• Observe the limit values of the axis alignment
7.2.2 Limit values of X-axis alignment.
Non-compliance will reduce the service life of the planar surface gantry.
• Align the X-axes to the guide rails.
• Measure the limit values on the guide rails.
• Use suitable tools, measuring equipment and test instruments.
The alignment procedure depends on the type of mounting.
Alignment with adjusting kits
• The adjusting kits are adjustable.
• The following describes alignment with adjusting kits.
• Observe the handling of the adjusting kits
Alignment with mounting plates
• The mounting plates are not adjustable.
• To comply with the limit values of the axis alignment:
• Use your own adjustments, underlay mounting plates or align mounting surface.
• If the limit values with mounting plates are not in compliance:
• Use Festo adjusting kits
or
take other suitable measures
