Preparations for assembly

The sensor mounting and the proximity sensor are not included in the scope of delivery.
• Select the corresponding accessories from the Festo catalogue

www.festo.com/catalogue.

Position
Several sensor mountings and proximity switches can be attached to the X-axis profile. The sensor
mounting and the proximity switch can be moved on the X-axis.

Mounting

• Observe the assembly instructions for the sensor mounting EAPR-E12-… and for the proximity

switch.

6.8.2

Proximity switch on Y-axis

Function
The proximity switch SIES-… is suitable for:

–

Position sensing of the Y-axis slide

–

Safety device to prevent the Y-axis slide from hitting the stop, e.g. if the toothed belt has jumped

The proximity switch is not in scope of delivery.
• Select the corresponding accessories from the Festo catalogue

Position
The sensor slot for mounting the proximity switch is located in the Y-axis slide. There are 2 switch
lugs in the Y-axis cross-brace pre-assembled for actuation of the proximity switch. The positions of the
proximity switch and the switch lugs cannot be changed.
