3.4.2 Connecting the limit switch (PNP inputs)

Information on the pin assignment and on connecting the
inputs can be found in chapter 3.2.2.

Please note

The inputs are resistant to short circuits. In the event of a
short circuit, the slave will be switched off. The AS-i master
regards this slave as missing. When the short circuit has
been eliminated, the slave indicates immediately that it is
functioning again.

3.4.3 Festo installation accessories

Recommendation:
Use the Festo cable sockets ASI-SD-FK, part no. 18785 for
connecting the Local control unit. You will then comply with
protection class IP65.

Proceed as follows:

1. Connect the cable sockets as described in the separate

brief description.

2. Lay the AS-i cable free of tension.

3. Mount the cable socket and screw it tight.
