Thermal disinfection is performed at a temperature
of 93°C.
The cleaning and maintenance instructions are the result of long
years of experience. Shorter cycles may be required, depending
on the application and the users‘ experiences.
The following consumables must be replaced in accordance
with the instructions given in Section 6.1 (Figure 8):
•
The device must be disconnected from the mains for
cleaning!
•
The instructions specified in the instructions for
use must be observed, particularly as regards the
recommended agents.
6.4 DISINFECTION
The different device components can be disinfected with
specific disinfectants:
•
Suction tube (instrument disinfectant),
•
Secretion container (instrument disinfectant),
•
Container lid (instrument disinfectant),
•
Device surface (surface disinfectant).
In this regard, observe the instructions already mentioned
in this section as well as the disinfectant manufacturers‘
instructions for use.
Thorough cleaning should always be performed prior to
disinfection, if such is required. As a general rule, disinfection
is advisable to prevent cross-infection and is also advisable if
the device is used in inpatient situations (e.g. hospitals, nursing
homes and/or other health care facilities), in order to limit the
risk of infections.
