Make sure that the jumpers J1, J2 and J3 in the EM260 are correctly 
fitted: J1 and J3 at the top, J2 at the bottom (see the EM260 
operating instructions, Section 10 "Jumper" and top photograph). 
 
 
 
 
 
 

 

Push fit the jumper "Mode" in the position "program" on the modem 
adapter board, (left hand side, see bottom photograph) 
 

 

Connect one COM interface of your computer with the help of a 
DSUB9 RS232 cable with the modem parameterization interface ST3 
on the modem adapter board (see photograph).  
  
 

 

Switch on the power to the EM260. 

 

 

CAUTION! 230 V alternating current Risk to life! 

 

 

Start the ModemIni program (V3.50 or later) and perform the following settings: 
- terminal device: 

EK280  

- Modem box: 

EM260

  

- Modem module: 

GSM-Modem

  

- PC interface: COMx (the COM interface, to which the parameterization cable is connected)  

 

 

 

 

Press the button "

" so as to transfer the parameters to the GSM Modem. The successful 

end of the transmission is signaled with the message "parameterization OK"
