In the case of a negative control error, the speed is reduced by the PI controller. If the minimum speed is
reached, a fan capacity stage is unloaded after a time delay and the speed is increased to the maximum value
at the same time. Finally, the speed controller is disabled via the first fan output S1 of the pack controller when
the speed has reduced to 0. If a minimum speed > 0 of the speed controller has been input using the
parameter Min. Fan speed (menu 3-3-1), the speed is reduced after a configurable time (parameter basetime
OFF Fan 1) using a ramp to 0 and the fan output S1 is switched off.
Switching back from operation by power supply to normal operation is not performed until the tc setpoint has
been undercut. The following diagram shows the process for reducing speed using the example of a system
with five fans:
Enable fan stages (parameter Enab.Cond. screen 3-1)
The enabling of the fan stages is directly assigned to the fan relay stages. Using a disable of the fan stage 1,
the speed controller with the connected fans can thus be disabled. If the first stage is disabled, the fan control
operates as a step controller with the steps 2 to n-1.
The following maximum numbers of stages can be disabled or enabled:
Base module: 3 fan stages
Configuration with one SIOX extension module: 7 fan stages
The stage No. cond. 1 cannot be configured for operation by power supply. It is not displayed on the
AL 300 operator terminal, the CI 3000 store computer and in the LDSWin PC software.
4.5.9 Setpoint calculation tc
The calculation of the tc setpoint is dependent on the operating mode and is described in detail in the following
chapter:
Setpoint calculation in normal operation, page 49
Setpoint calculation in HR mode, page 61
