The modules are connected to the pack controller via SIOX power supply cables and SIOX data cables, see

5.2.1.1 Connection of the SIOX modules to the pack controller
The individual SIOX extension modules are supplied with power from the pack controller via the terminals 91-
95 (SIOX-SUPPLY) and connected to each other in series via SIOX data cables (SIOX OUT and SIOX IN
using RJ45).
Example configuration of a pack controller with two SIOX extension modules:
Danger of destruction of components! The connection of SIOX extension modules with each other or
to the controller may
be performed when no voltage is present! In the event of any mix-up of the
only
SIOX data cable (RJ45) with an Ethernet network cable with PoE (Power over Ethernet), involved
network devices can be damaged!
SIOX power supply cables
Shielded cables with cross section > 0.5 mm2 must be used for the 5 power supply cables (terminals 91-
95). For example, the use of
mm2 cables with 25 ohms/km is recommended.
LiYCY 4x0.75
Max. permitted cable length is 30 m.
The pack controller power supply is designed for the connection of a maximum of 3 extension modules.
SIOX data cables
The data cables (SIOX IN / SIOX OUT) should
be routed in the immediate proximity of high voltage
not
or high frequency cables.
When routing the cables, care must be taken to ensure that the minimum bending radius is complied
with and that the cables are not routed
which have the potential to generate strong
parallel to cables
.
interference coupling
Max. permitted data cable length is 30 m.
CAT5 cable or better must always be used.
