Using Bar code reader
Read JAN code or QR code using FOMA terminal built-in camera. You can use the read data
in Phone To/AV Phone To/Mail To functions.

Up to 18 codes can be saved.
•
Readable codes are JAN code and QR code only.

Scanning codes
Read JAN code or QR code using FOMA terminal built-in camera.

Can be operated with Out-camera only.
•
Scratches, dirt, damages, low print quality and the strong reflection of light may disable code
scanning.

May not be scanned depending on the type, version * and size of bar codes.
* Compatible with up to version 10 in QR code.
JAN code is a type of bar code that consists of vertical lines of various
thicknesses and with various spaces. 8 digits (JAN8) and 13 digits
(JAN13) can be read with FOMA terminal.

The number data "4123578369877" can be read from the left bar
code.
QR code is a highly information-contained type of two-dimensional code
that consists of horizontal and vertical pattern of numbers/alphabet/
Chinese characters/Kana/Pictograms/melodies/images etc.

The QR code shown on the left represents the text data "NTT

(NTT DoCoMo Co. Ltd.)".
