Security code
Security codes for FOMA terminal
Security code is required to use some of the convenient functions in FOMA terminal. There
are several types of security code, such as the terminal security code for using some terminal
functions, the Network security code for network services, and i-mode password etc. Use
these codes properly for each usage of FOMA terminal.
Terminal security code
Default terminal security code is set to "0000". Change the code to the numbers you like. P131

Note that, if the terminal security code has been forgotten, FOMA terminal * , UIM (FOMA card) currently
used and the document for identifying the subscriber (driver’s license etc.) need to be brought to
DoCoMo Shop etc.
* Unless the mobile phone has not been purchased by the subscriber, it may not be acceptable.
Network security code
The network security code is 4 digits security code for the network services and various procedures for
DoCoMo e-site and can be set in subscribing FOMA terminal.

Contact "General service inquiries" on the back of this manual when missing the network security code.
The sales outlet, such as DoCoMo Shop, will take procedure after confirming the subscriber's
identification based on a certificate such as the driver's license. Those who have "User ID" and
"Password" can access to the DoCoMo e-site from a PC to make subscription.

PIN code/PIN2 code
The "PIN code" and "PIN2 code" are set for UIM (FOMA card). Default codes are set to "0000". Change
the code to the numbers you like.
PIN code is 4 to 8 digit number that is required to confirm the user each time UIM (FOMA card) is inserted
or FOMA terminal is powered on, preventing unauthorized use. You can make/receive calls or operate the
terminal after entering PIN code.
PIN2 code is a security code (4 to 8 digits) used when using or requesting the issue of a user certificate or
resetting total call cost.

When inserting currently used UIM (FOMA card) to FOMA terminal newly purchased, use previous PIN
code and PIN2 code.
i-mode password
A 4 digit "i-mode password" is required to register/delete sites in My Menu, apply to/cancel message
service or i-mode pay sites and etc. Default i-mode password is set to "0000". Change the password to the
numbers you like.
In addition, there may be passwords required by individual IP (Information Providers).

Note that, if the i-mode password has been forgotten, the document for identifying the subscriber (such
as the driver's license) need to be brought to the sales outlet such as DoCoMo Shop.
