8.1 - INSPECTING THE WHEELS

BALANCE THE WHEEL WHENEVER
A TYRE OR WHEEL HAS BEEN FIT-
TED OR REPLACED.

NEVER TRY TO CARRY OUT RE-
PAIRS TO A WHEEL RIM.

1. Inspect:

- The wheel shaft.
(Rolling it on a flat surface).

Warping => Renew.

NEVER TRY TO STRAIGHTEN A
WARPED SHAFT.

Wheel shaft warp limit:
0,2

2. Inspect:

- The tyres.

Damaged/worn => Renew

See the “INSPECTING THE TYRES” section.

3. Check the wheel rims:

- Spokes.

Warping/damage => Renew

Above that specified => Renew

Distortion limits for the front wheel.

Radial (a):
0,6

Axial (b):
0,5
