Troubleshooting
F0005, F0006, F0007 (Charge end reason 13)
Error Description Possible Causes Possible Solutions
VCU has detected that the cut loop
is broken.
1) Cut loop fault.
2) Incompatible or defective
EVSE.
1) Troubleshoot specific error.
2) Restart charge with compatible
EVSE.
The cut loop is a section of LV wiring which can be
cut by first responders to shut down the HV system
in an emergency.
If the cut loop is broken:
• Contactors inside the S-Box will open to
isolate the high voltage battery packs from
the HV distribution system. If the vehicle is
stopped, this occurs immediately. If the
vehicle is moving, it will occur as soon as the
vehicle speed drops below 5 km/h.
•
The VCU will notify the driver immediately by
raising error F0058 and will prohibit
restarting the vehicle.
If the cut loop is broken, various other errors
including F0016, F0058, BMS no contact, and
possibly F0108 or F0147 are expected to be raised.
The technician should begin by troubleshooting error
F0058, F0108, or F0147 if one of these appears.
If none of errors F0058, F0108, or F0147 is raised, it
may be possible to resolve the error by restarting the
charge with a compatible EVSE.
Note: If a cut loop problem is indicated,
check for errors F0058, F0108, or F0147
before troubleshooting any other possible
root cause.
Note: When requested to connect the
vehicle to an EVSE, either a level 2 or level
3 EVSE can be used.
