5. Continue deploying stent by squeezing trigger. Note: Each trigger
squeeze will deploy stent by an equal amount.
6. If stent repositioning is required during deployment, it is possible to
recapture stent. Note: It is not possible to recapture stent after passing
point-of-no-return, indicated when red marker on top of introducer has
passed the point-of-no-return indicator on handle. (See Fig. 2) The stent
can be recaptured a maximum of five times.
7. To recapture stent, push direction button on side of delivery system to
opposite side. (See Fig. 3) Note: Hold thumb on button when squeezing
trigger for first time to recapture.
8. Continue squeezing trigger as required to recapture stent by desired
amount.
9. To resume deployment, push button to opposite side again and hold
thumb on button for first stroke while squeezing trigger. (See Fig. 4)
10. When stent point-of-no-return has been passed, pull safety wire out
of delivery handle near wire guide port. (See Fig. 5)
11. Continue deploying stent by squeezing trigger.
12. After deployment, fluoroscopically confirm full stent expansion. Once
full expansion is confirmed, introduction system can be safely removed.
Upon completion of procedure, dispose of device per institutional
guidelines for biohazardous medical waste.
