Using Smart Search
The smart search function allows you to search a video clip for particular events, such as motion, tampering,
intrusion, or tripwire, by intelligently analyzing the content of video. To use the Smart Search function, follow
the steps below.
1. Open the Playback console, set your search criteria, and hit [Search]
2. Double-click on any item on the Record File List to switch to the Preview tab.
3. Click Smart Search button in the Tools pane. A Smart Search window then appears.
4. Click on the Search Type combobox in the Search Type section, and choose an event type to search for.
5. If desired, press [Edit Region] to specify an area in the camera's field of view to search. Hit OK when you
are done editing region.

6. Press [Search] to start analyzing and searching the video recording for a particular type of event. If
ComproView® detects this particular event in the video, it will list the video frame that captured the
event in the result pane. You can then double-click on any item in the Search Result pane to jump to the
very frame in the video recording where this particular type of event is captured. You can also select one
item in the Search Result pane and press [Bookmark] to create a bookmark for this specific frame.
