UDLD Messages
This section contains UniDirectional Link Detection (UDLD) messages.
Error Message
UDLD-0-STOPPED:UDLD process stopped:[chars].
Explanation
This message means that the UDLD process stopped because it cannot read the unique
system identifier that is being used by UDLD. The system identifier is used to identify the device
that is sending the UDLD packets. [chars] is the UDLD process name.
Recommended Action
Reload the switch by using the
reload
privileged EXEC command. If the
problem persists, copy the message exactly as it appears on the console or in the system log.
Research and attempt to resolve the error by using the Output Interpreter. Enter the
show

user EXEC command to gather data that might help identify the nature of the error.
