Choosing an Integration Mode

The DPA 7630/7610 enables you to integrate the Cisco CallManager, Octel, and
Meridian 1 or Definity systems. Depending on the needs of your network, you can
choose among several different integration methods:

•

Simple—Used to integrate Cisco CallManager with existing Octel voice mail
systems. In this solution, you are not using a Definity or Meridian 1 PBX
system, or you are choosing not to integrate them with your IP telephony
system. See

“Using the Simple Integration Mode” section on page 2-2

•

Hybrid—Used to integrate Cisco CallManager with existing Octel voice mail
systems and Definity or Meridian 1 PBX systems. See

“Using the Hybrid

Integration Mode” section on page 2-6

.

•

Multiple—Used to integrate the systems in larger networks using a
combination of simple and hybrid scenarios, which requires multiple
DPA 7630/7610 systems. See
