AV3672 series vector network analyzers are provided with various options and measurement settings are complex.
Technological knowledge and practical experience are required to be skillful in operation of the instrument. In
order to help you rapidly get familiar with the measurement process, the measurement attenuator is taken as an
example below to introduce the process and relevant settings for measurement of ordinary double-port devices.
Refer to Appendix 5 “Measurement of Amplifier Gain Compression” for the measurement of amplifier gain
compression and Appendix 6 “Mixer Measurement” for the measurement of the mixer.
Preparation before measurement: one AV3672 series vector network analyzer, two 3.5mm test cable, one
calibration kit (AV31121), DUT (attenuator) and adapter (if necessary).
1.1 Startup, Preheating for 30min and Resetting of Analyzer
Reset into the system reset state to ensure all settings are known.
1.2 Frequency and Power Setting
For more details, refer to “
4.3 Setting of Frequency Range
” and “
4.4 Setting of Signal Power Level
”.
Click [Freq] and [Power] on the front panel and [Modify] in the auxiliary menu bar. Enter the value through
the input keys on the front panel. Click ENTER. Thus setting is completed.
