6. Connect the evaporative emission (EVAP) vent valve and fuel tank pressure

sensor connectors.

7. Connect the fuel hose to the fuel tank. Torque the clamp to

22 in-lb (2.5 Nm)

.

8.  Connect the fuel return and feed pipes to the fuel tank.
9.  Lower the vehicle.
10. Refill the fuel tank.
11. Turn on the ignition for 2 seconds, with the engine off, and then turn off the ignition.

After 10 seconds, turn the ignition back on with the engine off.

12. Lift the vehicle.
13. Check for leaks in the fuel lines.
14. Install the fuel tank shield onto the fuel tank.
15. Install the frame brace onto the frame.
16. Lower the vehicle.

2005-2007

To Remove:

1.  Relieve the pressure in the fuel system.
2.  Lift the vehicle.
3.  Remove the frame brace from the frame.
4.  Remove the fuel tank shield from the fuel tank.
5.  Drain the fuel from the tank into an approved container.
