To Install:

1. Install the starter to the engine. Tighten the nut and bolt to

37 ft-lb (50 Nm)

.

2. Install the positive battery cable and s-terminal to the starter. Tighten the battery

cable nut to

80 in-lb (9 Nm)

. Tighten the s-terminal nut to

20 in-lb (2.3 Nm)

.

3. Connect the vacuum brake booster hose to the engine.
4. Connect the negative battery cable to the battery.

5.3L & 6.0L Engines

To Remove:

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.
2.  Raise and support the vehicle.
3.  Remove the rear steering gear crossmember from the frame.
