8.1.
Operating lamp
The operating lamp comes in 2 models:
Lamp with halogen light source – model VENUS PLUS.
The instructions for use and maintenance come with the lamp.

Lamp with LED light source – model VENUS PLUS-L.
The instructions for use and maintenance are given in Paragraph
8.1.1.
NOTE: during the automatic movements of the dental chair, the
lamp automatically turns off to prevent blinding the patient.
8.1.1.
VENUS PLUS-L OPERATING LAMP
Technical specifi cations.
• Operation: continuous.
• Power supply voltage: 18 V~ 50/60 Hz.
• Power absorbed: 15 VA.
• Light spot dimensions: 65 mm x 165 mm.
• Lux: 50,000 (max).
• Colour temperature: 5,000 °K (+/- 5%).
• Maximum temperature on accessible surfaces (during normal use): < 50°C.
• Protection against electric risks: Class II type B.
• Light source: 2 multichip LEDs.
• De
vice classifi cation in accordance with EN 62471: 2008 for PHOTOBIO-
LOGICAL SAFETY: Risk Group 1.
Safety warnings.
WARNING!
• The lamp must be installed by authorised staff.
• The lamp may only be used by authorised and adequately trained
staff (dentists and paramedics).
• Do not apply any weight on any point of the lamp and act on it only
with the force necessary to move it.
• An operator must always be present when the lamp is on, in parti-
cular, it should not be left unattended in the presence of children/
incompetent persons or in general persons not authorised for use.
• Do not carry out any maintenance operation on the lamp when the
power is on. Cut the power before carrying out any operation on the
lamp.
• The lamp is not suitable for use in the presence of a mixture of
fl ammable anaesthetic gas with oxygen or nitrous oxide.
• The cleaning operations must be carried out with the lamp off and
at room temperature. Do not spray detergent liquid directly onto
parts of the optical unit.
• The lamp is not protected against penetration of liquids (IPX0).
• Do not apply protections, not even transparent, on the optical unit,
which may obstruct the cooling air intakes.

NOTE for lamps with NO TOUCH sensor: you can also turn the
lamp on and off by rapidly sweeping your hand across the sensor ( k )
(sensitivity range 5 cm).
If the lamp does not turn on or off when sweeping your hand rapidly across
the sensor, sweep it across again more slowly.
