5.1.1.3. Setting the disinfecting systems
Perform the following operations from the main menu:
• Press button MENU to scroll the icons, selecting the one for "DISINFEC-
TING SYSTEM SETTINGS" .
• Press multifunction button OK to enter the selected submenu that contains
the following icons:
AS cycle setting
TF cycle setting
Emptying the M.W.B. system tank
5.1.1.3.1. Setting the AUTOSTERIL cycle (AS)
NOTE: this menu can be accessed only if the AUTOSTERIL system
is present.
This setting is used for all the operators.
Perform the following steps from the DISINFECTING SYSTEM SETTINGS
menu:
• Press button MENU to scroll the icons, selecting the one for "AS cycle
setting" .
• Press multifunction button OK to enter the selected submenu.
NOTE: this submenu can also be accessed by holding down button
AS found on the assistant’s board for at least 2 seconds.
NOTE: this submenu cannot be accessed if the reserve level is
present in the liquid disinfectant tank (see paragraph 7.4.), if an instrument
is withdrawn or if there is a fault in the MWB system. A beep will signal
that the submenu cannot be accessed.
• Set the time liquid disinfectant has to be left in with the INCREASE and/
or DECREASE buttons.
NOTE: the time may range from at least 5 minutes to at most 30
minutes, with 30 second intervals.
Use the fast selection buttons to automatically set the following values:
- MAX button: 30 minutes
- MED button: 15 minutes
- MIN button: 5 minutes
ATTENTION!
Recommended time 3% hydrogen peroxide (10 volumes) should be
left in: 10 minutes.
• Withdraw the instruments to be treated (the corresponding icon will appear
on the display):
S1: syringe on instrument board.
A: instrument in position A
B: instrument in position B
C: instrument in position C
D: instrument in position D
S2: syringe on assistant’s board.
F: instrument on assistant's board.
CA: suction tubes.
BC: water to cup duct.
NOTE: use the “Water delivery to cup” button to select/deselect
disinfection of the water to cup duct.
NOTE: if the S.H.D. fl ushing system for the suction tubes is
provided, it is possible to fl ush the latter by simply placing them in the
fi ttings (see paragraph 7.5.).
• Press multifunction button (
) to start the disinfection cycle (see pa-
ragraph 7.4.).
NOTE: the disinfecting cycle can also be started by briefl y pressing
button AS found on the assistant’s board.
NOTE: while the disinfecting cycle is being set, hold down button
AS found on the assistant’s board for at least 2 seconds to immediately
quit the submenu.
