Turning the fi ber optic on/off.
• Set the instrument to its work position.
• Press the button
to turn on the fi ber optic.
NOTE: icon ( A ) appears on the display to signal the fi ber optic
has been turned on. If the handpiece used does not have the fi ber optic,
icon ( E ) will appear on the display.
Adjusting brightness of the fi ber optic.
• Hold down the button (at least 2 seconds) to adjust brightness of the fi ber
optic
.
• Use buttons INCREASE and/or DECREASE to adjust the brightness level.
NOTE: a value ranging from 1 to 16 can be set.
The following values can be set using the fast selection buttons:
- button “MAX”: level 16,
- button “MED”: level 8,
- button “MIN”: level 1.
• To confi rm the selected brightness level, press multifunction button ESC
to quit this submenu.
NOTE: the fi ber optics shut off when the turbine is not used for 30
seconds (rheostat switch off).
Instrument cooling water.
The cooling water is always delivered, but if the foot control is set to
bistable operation (see Section 5.2.1.) and the scaler is in ENDO mode,
you can disable it.
The operation type is shown on the control panel display by the icon ( D ):
• Icon OFF: operation without cooling water.
• Icon ON: operation with cooling water.
Removable cord
The scaler has a removable cord to ease cleaning (see paragraph 5.).
Cleaning and care.
Refer to the specifi c instructions furnished with the instrument.
ATTENTION!
• Do not soak the handpiece in liquid disinfectants or detergents.
• The torque wrench should not be sterilized, cold disinfect with
isopropylic alcohol.
Sterilization
.
• Inserts: Scaler tips: autoclave at 135°C (2 bar), minimum time: 15 min.
• Handpiece: autoclave at 135°C (2 bar), minimum time: 15 min.
ATTENTION!
Carefully read the operating instructions supplied with the instrument
before attempting to sterilize.
Safety standards.
ATTENTION!
• To avoid hazards or malfunctions When connecting the board, do
not reverse the positions of the cords for scalers that are different
brands.
• The inserts attached to the handpiece must comply to Biocompati-
bility standard ISO 10993-1.
