• When the audio level meter reache s the red point (0 dB mark), the
s ound may be di s torted.
• If the audio level i s too high and the s ound get s di s torted, activate the
microphone attenuator with the [Microphone Attenuator] s etting.
Selecting the Playback Starting Point
If you have a very long s cene, you may
want to s tart playing bac k the s cene
from a certain point. You can u s e the
movie timeline to brea k the s cene to
s egment s at fixed time interval s rang-
ing from 6 s econd s to 6 minute s . If you recorded movie s with the Face
Detection function ( 59) activated, you can di s play the s cene divided
into s egment s every time the camcorder regi s tered a change in the
main s ubject of the s cene.
Movie Timeline
1 Open the original movies or playlist index screen.
• / / You can s elect the original movie s in the built-in
memory or on the memory card.
• To open the playli s t index s creen from the original movie s index
s creen:
- / / For s cene s in the built-in memory, pre ss
. For s cene s on the memory card, pre ss and
then s elect [Playli s t].
- Pre ss .
2 Select ( , ) the scene you want to view and press .
• The [Timeline] s creen appear s . The large thumbnail will s how the fir s t
frame of the s cene. Below it, the timeline ruler s how s frame s taken
from the s cene at fixed interval s .
• Pre ss again to return to the index s creen.
