Additional Information
• Depending on the TV s et, additional s etting s may be required on the TV
it s elf to activate the HDMI-CEC function. Refer to the TV ’s in s truction
manual.
• Correct operation of the HDMI-CEC function cannot be guaranteed
even when connecting the camcorder to compatible TV s et s . If you
cannot u s e the remote control of the TV, s et [Control for HDMI] to
[ Off] and operate the camcorder directly.
• The remote control of the TV can only be u s ed to play back movie s or
photo s ( or mode only). If the camcorder i s connected to the
TV while it i s s et to a recording mode, depending on the TV u s ed, turn-
ing off the TV will automatically turn off the camcorder even if it i s
recording at the time.
• We recommend not connecting more than 3 HDMI-CEC compatible
device s at a time.
[Photo Numbering]:
Select the photo numbering method to be u s ed on a
new memory card. Photo s are automatically a ss igned con s ecutive num-
ber s from 0101 to 9900, and s tored in folder s containing up to 100 pho-
to s . Folder s are numbered from 101 to 998.
[ Re s et]: Photo number s will re s tart from 101-0101 every time you
in s ert a new memory card.
[ Continuou s ]: Photo number s will continue from the number following
that of the la s t photo recorded with the camcorder.
• If the memory card you in s ert already contain s a photo with a larger
number, a new photo will be a ss igned a number one higher than that of
the la s t photo on the memory card.
• We recommend u s ing the [ Continuou s ] s etting.
• The photo number indicate s the name and location of the file on the
memory card. For example, the file name of a photo numbered 101-
0107 i
s “IMG_ 0107 .JPG”, s tored under the folder “DCIM\ 101 CANON”.
[Firmware]:
You can verify the current ver s ion of the camcorder ’s firm-
ware. Thi s menu option i s u s ually unavailable.
