External Connection s
IMPORTANT
• While the camcorder i s connected to the DVD burner, do not open the
memory card s lot cover and do not remove the memory card.
• Ob s erve the following precaution s while the ACCESS indicator on the
camcorder i s on or fla s hing. Failing to do s o may re s ult in permanent
data lo ss .
- Do not open the memory card s lot cover.
- Do not di s connect the USB cable.
- Do not di s connect the power s ource or turn off the camcorder or the
DVD burner.
- AVCHD di s c s created u s ing the optional DW-100 DVD Burner can be
played back only with AVCHD-compatible DVD player s or Blu-ray Di s c
player s . Do not in s ert an AVCHD di s c into a DVD player that i s not
compatible with AVCHD s pecification s a s you may not be able to eject
the di s c.

NOTES
• If a s cene doe s not fit entirely in one di s c, it may be divided and con-
tinue on the next di s c.
• When the camcorder contain s a large number of s cene s to be s aved on
di s c s , it may take a long time for the connection to the DVD burner
( s tep 2 above) to be completed. For be s t performance, we recommend
limiting the number of s cene s to be s aved to 500 or fewer s cene s . (With
500 s cene s , it will take approximately 3 minute s to complete the con-
nection.)
• In addition to the JPG image file s , Photo DVD s contain a s lide s how of
all the photo s s aved (each played back for approximately 3 s econd s ).

Saving Movie s onto Standard-Definition Di s c s
(DVD)
You can convert your high-definition video recording s into s tandard
definition and s ave them onto s tandard DVD s . The s e are ideal for s har-
ing your video s with family and friend s s ince, unli k e AVCHD or Blu-ray
di s c s , s tandard DVD s can be played bac k on mo s t DVD player s and
computer DVD drive s .
