This chapter describes basic operations and trial run of the AC drive, mainly including
setting the frequency reference, and stopping and starting the drive.
7. BASIC OPERATIONS AND TRIAL RUN
7.1 QUICK COMMISSIONING GUIDE
7.2 COMMISSIONING FLOWCHART
Start
Connect peripherals correctly and securely.
Power on the drive. The drive runs normally.
Set the drive. FP-01=1 (restore to default value).
Set group F1, including F1-27 to F1-30 if the motor
has an encoder.
Set F1-37 to perform auto-tuning of motor according to
whether or not the motor can be disconnected from load.
After passing auto-tuning and confirming the motor can
be safely started, press “RUN” key to run the motor.
Check to see if the running speed, current and direction
are normal or not in both no-load and full-load states.
Stop the motor. Based on control requirements, set DI,
DO, serial communication, fault output and other logical
control functions.
Run the motor with no-load, and check if I/O and other
logical functions are normal or not.
Stop the motor, finishing commissioning.
Record the modified parameters.
Run the motor with load, and check if the motor runs
normally, if various functions are working properly and
if peripherals have no exception.

procedure 1

procedure 2
Start
Install and wire the drive according to Chapters 1–5.
Adjust the control effect by setting certain parameters
According to Safety Precautions, power on the drive
and check the display status (section 7.4)
Initialize parameters (FP-01, section 7.5) and set control
mode (F0-01, section 7.6)
• Set running command source selection
(F0-02, section 7.7)
• Set I/O functions accordingly.
• Set proper start/stop mode and acceleration/
deceleration time.
• Set other function codes if needed.
