Note
Sine Offset [mV]
The analog sine and cosine values provide
information about the air gap over the sensor
module. These should lie within a range of
±10 mV.
If both the sine and cosine values are outside the
tolerance, check the calibration and repeat.
Cosine Offset [mv]
Phase adjustment [°] Phase adjustment provides information about
the orientation of the sensor module. This
should be almost 0 °, but at least within the
range of ±3°.
If the phase adjust lies outside the tolerances,
check the X- and Y-orientation of the sensor
module.
Margin of Safety [%]
The
Margin of Safety
value provides
information about the phase reserve between
master and nonius track. This should be
greater than 35% but at least 30%.
If
Margin of Safety
is outside the indicated
percentage value, check the air gap and the X-
and Y-orientation.
Tab. 8-3: Result of BML BM1/BM2
If Margin of Safety = 1% the system is just
barely functional. To be able to provide a
sufficiently reliable system, a margin of safety of
at least 35% or higher is recommended.
