With power adapter plugged into a
115VAC power supply and into the power
port on the console, turn the console power
switch to “ON”.

After the self test is complete, and if
there are no detected errors, the display
will show “SYSTEM IS OK”, along with the
current time and date. This message will dis-
continue after 2 seconds.

The console will begin a self-test proce-
dure. During the self test cycle (5 to 10
seconds), the display will show “TESTING
SYSTEM” and will display the software ver-
sion being used.

Next, the system will display “SPEC-
TRUM 100 IDLE”. The console is now
ready for dispense operations.

If you have set up PIN code security
in the system, the display will prompt
for a PIN number before continuing immedi-
ately after power-up. Any valid management
PIN number may be entered. Then press
“ENTER” to continue the start-up routine.

This prompt occurs
only
if the current
system setup program does not match
the backup memory in the air smart con-
troller (per procedure SP6). This message
prompts to do one of the following: a) read a
previously-saved system setup immediately
from the Air SC to the console using pro-
cedure SP6 or b) save the current console
setup to the Air SC using procedure SP6 (if
you have just completed program changes,
for example)
