Prerequisites

• You must configure static routes, RIP, or OSPF on both the source (8600 1) and remote

(8600 2) IPv4 interfaces to communicate on an IPv4 network.

• The brouter ports on the source and destination devices use IPv4 addresses available

through the IPv4 network.

This example section requires you to perform the following procedures:

Configure the IPv6 VLAN with ports (VLAN 10 in the figure) on the source device, or 8600.

Procedure steps

1. Create a VLAN by using the following command:

config vlan 10 create byport 1

2. Add ports to the VLAN by using the following command:
