Prerequisites to IPv4-to-IPv6 transition mechanism
configuration

• You must configure the local and remote switches with IPv4 addresses that you can ping.

• You must configure the local and remote switches with one or more of the following

protocols to route IPv4 traffic: Static, RIP, or OSPF.
