Establishing a CLI Session

The procedure below describes how to establish a CLI session with the device.

Notes:

•

The default login username and password are both "Admin" (case-sensitive).

•

Only the primary User Account, which has Security Administration access level
(200) can access the device using Telnet. For configuring the username and
password, see Configuring Web User Accounts on page



To establish a CLI session with the device:

1.

Establish a Telnet or SSH session with the device using its OAMP IP address.

2.

Log in to the session using the username and password assigned to the Admin user of
the Web interface.

3.

At the login prompt, type the username, and then press Enter:

login: Admin

4.

At the password prompt, type the password, and then press Enter:

password: Admin

After logging in, the current directory (root), available commands, available
subdirectories, and a welcome message are displayed at the CLI prompt:

login: Admin

password:

ready. Type "exit" to close the connection.
