Lock-out Menus

Use

Lock-Out

menus to selectively disable air functions to prevent their activation (locked-off), to selectively

allow air functions to be adjusted (unlock), and to selectively freeze air function settings to prevent their
adjustment (freeze). Refer to

Air Function Lock-Out Chart

at the end of this section for additional

information.

There are two methods of accessing the

Lock-Out

menus. The first is accomplished through the

Home

and must be performed within the first ten seconds after the unit is powered up. This method should

NOT

be used when a patient is on the unit. The second method allows access to the

Lock-Out

menus through the

Diagnostic

menu. Use the second method whenever a patient is on the unit.

Accessing

Lock-Out

menus without Patient on Unit

Using this method to access the

Lock-Out

menus will cause the cushions to deflate. Do

NOT

use this

method when a patient is on the unit or the patient will be lowered to the hard surface.

Press

On / Off

button on main control panel to turn unit off, then unplug from wall outlet.

Wait for unit to enter transport mode.

Press

Cancel

button to deactivate transport mode.

Plug unit into wall outlet and press

On / Off

button. The

Air Switched ON!

display will appear

temporarily and then change to a temporarily modified

Home

menu.

The

Lock-Out

menus can be accessed from the

Home

menu during the first ten seconds after the

unit is plugged in. The

Lock

button must be pressed within ten seconds, or it will be replaced with the

Instaflate feature.
