10. Press Seat Deflate On / Off button to deactivate seat deflate and return cushions to previous air
pressure settings.

Reactivate rotation and percussion as prescribed. Pulsation will automatically be restored.
12. Adjust patient surface for patient comfort.
Rotation will be deactivated if head of unit is raised over 35
°
angle. This includes a combination of
Fowler and Trend angles.
Patient Transfer to TriaDyne Proventa Critical Care Therapy System
Refer to the
Patient Placement
chapter of this manual if the patient is being transferred to the unit
for initial placement.
Do not leave patient unattended at any time during patient transfer.
1. Level patient surface.
2.
Press
Instaflate On / Off
button to create a firm surface for patient transfer.
Five beeps will sound when Instaflate function is activated and will sound every 20 minutes until it is
cancelled.

Adjust height of patient surface to same level as surface from which patient is being transferred.
4. Ensure brakes on both surfaces are locked.
5.
Lower side rails.
6. Transfer patient, following all applicable safety rules and institution protocols.

Position patient on mattress, verifying a one-inch (25 mm) clearance between patient’s axilla and arm
packs, and that top of shoulder is between second and third cushion.
8. If arm packs are being used, secure strap.
9.
Raise and lock side rails on both sides of unit. (If used, refer to
Risks and Precautions
in the
Introduction
chapter of this manual.)
10. Press Instaflate On / Off button to deactivate Instaflate feature and return cushions to previous air
pressure settings.

To minimize the risks of falls or injury the patient, surface should always be in the lowest
practical position when the patient is unattended.
