Removing 

Engine/Transmission

1. Turn the gas tank valve to the OFF position; then

remove the seat and disconnect the negative bat-

tery cable securing it away from the battery.

2. Drain the transmission lubricant. 

NOTE: The drain plug is located on the bottom of

the transmission.

3. Drain the engine oil. 

NOTE: The drain plug is located at the left-rear of

the engine.

4. Remove the left and right footwells and the

left-side footwell mounting plate; then remove the

drive sprocket and chain from the transmission

output shaft.
