If the cable lugs you are using do not fit through the double nipple of the EMC cable gland, change
the procedure shown here as follows:

Prepare the cable/wire so that the complete EMC cable gland is on the wire. See chapter 6.3.4
[DC+/-], [/-] and, if necessary, Preparing [BR+/-] wires for the power connections.

Unscrew the EMC cable gland. Insert the cable lug through the corresponding opening in the
housing. Screw the double nipple with the housing. Fasten the cable lug. Tighten the pressure
screw.

Prerequisites:

•

Required preparations:
- The VECTOPOWER is mechanically mounted.
- All live cable/wires are de-energized.
- Externally, the [DC+/-] and [/-] connectors are equipped with the appropriate
fuses.
- The [BR+/-] connection is equipped with a corresponding circuit to protect the braking
resistor, if necessary.
- All required cable/wires are prepared.

•

Required tools:
- Special tool for tightening the EMC cable glands with torque measurement, for example, for
the Pflitsch cable gland.
- Torque wrench for tightening the screws.

•

Required material:
- EMC cable glands: The double nipple and the spring are required here.
- Nord-Lock wedge lock washer pairs

•

ARADEX AG recommends using EMC cable glands from Pflitsch, blueglobe TRI type. See
chapter 3.13.2 Product description, Accessories that are available from ARADEX AG, EMC
cable glands [DC+/-], [/-], [BR+/-].

•
