Visible damage
If there is visible damage, disconnect the VECTOPOWER from the power supply. Take measures to
prevent unauthorized reconnection. Inform the responsible specialist.
A qualified electrician can replace damaged cables/wires and connectors.
If the housing is damaged, contact ARADEX AG customer service. Only the ARADEX customer
service in Lorch, Germany may repair a damaged VECTOPOWER.
The manufacturer and customer service address is found on the back of the cover sheet.

Problems with firmware
Problem: Firmware does not boot
The firmware does not boot or it becomes stuck in an endless loop. It cannot be connected to the
VECTOPOWER. This can occur after an aborted firmware update, for example.
Prerequisites:
•
A computer with VEConfig and a connection to the VECTOPOWER is present. You can
download the software from the ARADEX homepage.
•
To connect the RS-232 interface to the USB, you need an appropriate connection cable. See
chapter 3.13.8 Product data, Accessories that can be obtained from ARADEX AG, Connection
cables.
•
The version of the VE firmware is correct. The previously used version or another version can
be installed. The selected VE version must be compatible with the parameter set and with any
required modules.
•
The operating manual for VEConfig is available.
Procedure:
1.
Disconnect the VECTOPOWER completely from the current and voltage supply.
2.
Establish a connection via the RS-232 interface.
3.
Connect "pin 13 #EN_CONF" at [ST1] to ground.
4.
Connect the current supply "pin 2 KL_30B" [ST1].
•
"Pin 13 #EN_CONF" is only queried during switch-on. The VECTOPOWER then starts in
bootloader mode.
For information on the bootloader mode, refer to the VEConfig operating manual.
5.
Reinstall the firmware.
