Performing the forming

Prerequisites:

•

The circuit is set up as described under "Preparing forming".

•

The VECTOPOWER is connected.

Procedure:

DANGER!

Danger of electric shock.

Touching the exposed electrical contacts may result in death or serious injury.

•

Only switch on the relay when the housing of the VECTOPOWER is closed and other live
parts of the circuit for forming outside the VECTOPOWER

are protected against

accidental

contact.

DANGER!

Danger from stored electricity in the capacitors

Touching the power contacts may result in death or serious injury.

•

Wait at least 5 minutes after switching off the relay before opening the housing of the
VECTOPOWER.

•

Check that there is no voltage before carrying out any work. Use a suitable 2-pole
measuring device to measure the differential voltages and each pole against ground.

Switch on the relay to charge the capacitor. The switch-on time depends on the capacity. The
correct switch-on time is calculated from 5

+ 15

minutes and it is at least 15

minutes.

Switch off the relay.

Wait for the specified period. The waiting time depends on the capacity. The correct waiting
time is calculated from 5

+ 15

minutes and at least 15

minutes. During this time the charging

resistor discharges the capacitor.

Repeat the procedure 10 times (steps 1-3).
