Troubleshooting
Even though great care was taken in the design of the ROXY Exceed,
problems may occur during operation of the instrument. The information in
this chapter may help you to identify and solve the source of the problems.
In the event that the problems cannot be solved after following the instruc-
tions in this troubleshooting section, contact your local supplier for further
assistance.
Instrument errors
Incidental fault conditions may occur in any instrument. The ROXY Exceed
will generate an error message containing an error number with a short de-
scription for several hardware fault conditions, which will be shown in the
instruments LCD display.

11 Checksum error
12 Temperature sensor 1 error
13 Disconnect flow cell x
14 Control board SRAM error
20 Checksum error
Please contact your local supplier if one of the above errors occur for fur-
ther instructions. In the case the instrument does not power up at all check
the following remedies.
No potentiostat response
Possible cause Remedy
No power Plug in power cord
Power switch off Turn this switch ON (at the rear panel)
Faulty fuse Replace fuse
Divergent mains voltage Check line voltage
Make sure the ROXY Exceed is connected to a grounded power source
with a line voltage which is within the specified ratings. If the ROXY Ex-
ceed does not respond, a fuse in the mains inlet may be blown.
