4.4 Starting a Manual Recording
A manual recording can be enabled at any time by means of the following
configuration:
1.
Press the
REC
button on the front panel to access the
Manual Record
dialogue box, shown in Figure 5.

Start manual recording by selecting
ON
or
OFF
for each camera.
NOTE:
The manual option overrides any schedule operation.
4.5 Protect Recorded Files
Two methods are provided to prevent recorded files from being deleted from the
HDD or overwritten during cycle recording: set the recorded files to be
locked
or set
the HDD that the files reside on to
read-only
.
4.6 Lock/Unlock Recorded Files
To lock or unlock a recorded file:
1.
Click Menu > Video Search to enter the Video Search dialogue box,
shown in Figure 6.
