Design of an automatic sun protection system that tracks the sun’s position 

To set up an automatic sun protection system that tracks the sun’s position, an additional Shutter Control 
Unit JSB/S 1.1 is required. 

The current position of the sun is continually calculated in the Shutter Control Unit. The blind is moved via 
an 8-bit value into the optimum position to deflect direct sunlight while letting through as much diffuse light 
as possible. The influence of shadows, e.g. the buildings opposite, can also be taken into account in the 
Shutter Control Unit.
