If an input routed to the Track has a modifying parameter applied such as: Phantom
power, Phase inversion, Preamp Filter or Digital EQ, it is displayed at the top of the
vumeter with respectively a radioactive symbol (
☢
), a phase symbol (
f
), a 'fn' symbol
(with n being the number of the filter) or an 'EQ' symbol, Delay is symbolized by ‘D’.
If more than one input is routed to a track, each symbol is replaced by a plus sign (+).

If during a whole take, no sound is coming to a track, when the Cantar goes out of
record, the vumeter will display “Silent Rec” in the Vumeter (until the Main Selector is
turned).
III. Track Solo
1.
Trigerring a Solo of a Track
i. Track with an actuator assigned
The solo of a Track is obtained by pressing the Solo button of the actuator assigned to the track.
ii. Track with no actuator
Different ways to open a Track Solo which has no actuator:
- by opening any track Solo Panel and then pressing the Control and Plus (+) or Minus(-) buttons
to obtain the desired track.
Or
- by opening any input Solo Panel and then pressing the Shift + Control and Plus (+) or Minus(-)
buttons to obtain a Track Solo and then pressing the Control and Plus (+) or Minus(-) buttons to
obtain the desired track.
Or
- While in Ppr or Test positions, by displaying the Ingrid panel (by pressing the F1 button) and
then by selecting the desired track and pressing the F3 button.

Status (Arm / disarm Track)
While being in Solo-Track, pressing the F3 button arms or dis-arms a Track.
Monophonic multi-track file recording doesn't waste disk space by recording empty Tracks as it is
the case with polyphonic. It is wise to momentarily disarm a Track when there is no need for it.
A disarmed Track has its Vumeter colored in grey and a red 'disarmed' icon displayed.
NB:
It is also possible out of Solo window to toggle Track's Status, while the Main Selector is in
the Test or Pre-Record positions, by pressing Shift + Solo button of the Track.
3.
Mixdown PanPot
Toggle between Left, Right and Center with the F4 button. (Fine-Pan : Shift +F4)
NB:
For Mixdown Tracks, this item is inactive.
4.
Track Name
Press the OK button to edit the Track Name. Once in edit mode, press the Escape button to
Cancel, or the OK button to validate.
5. Track Gain
i. Track with an actuator assigned
The attenuation is changed by moving the assigned actuator.
