The U200 series devices are not shipped with any of the above-mentioned tools.
Precautions
When maintaining hardware of a U200 series device, follow these guidelines:
z
Maintain hardware under the guidance of a technical support engineer appointed by H3C.
z
To avoid injuries, ensure that all power sources to the device are disconnected before maintaining
any hardware modules of the device.
z
Always wear an ESD-preventive wrist strap or ESD-preventive gloves when maintaining the device
hardware. For more information, refer to the “Electrostatic Discharge Prevention” section in
Chapter 3 “Preparing for Installation.”
z
Put the removed mini interface module, CF card, and MIM on an antistatic worktable with the PCB
side facing upward or place them in antistatic bags.
z
When checking or moving a removed mini interface module, CF card, and MIM, avoid touching any
components on the PCB.
Opening/Closing the Chassis Cover
Do not remove the H3C tamper-proof seal on the chassis cover of the device without permission. If you
want to open the chassis, contact your sales agent for permission. Otherwise, H3C shall not be held
liable for any consequence caused thereby.
Follow these steps to open the chassis cover, taking the U200-S for example:
Step1
Power off the device and unplug the power cord.
