6.7 Visually inspecting the machine for damage
Caution:
There is a risk of injury if the machine is damaged!
Before daily start-up, ensure that there is no damage on the cutter.
• Never start up a damaged cutter or damaged options.
• Have damage repaired immediately by an authorized service technician or trained service
personnel.

Walk around the cutter with present options and check it/them for damage.
B
Make sure that all the covers have been fitted. Attach missing covers before switching on.
6.8 EMERGENCY STOP control devices function test
Danger:
Risk of injury due to defective EMERGENCY STOP control devices!
Machines with defective EMERGENCY STOP control devices are not safe for operation. The
machine cannot be stopped promptly in hazardous situations.
• Check the function of all EMERGENCY STOP control devices weekly.
• Do not start up a machine with defective EMERGENCY STOP control devices until the
problem has been remedied by authorised personnel.

Activate an EMERGENCY STOP control device before starting work or after initialising the
machine.
B
Repeat the process sequentially for all remaining EMERGENCY STOP control devices.
Results
If the machine stops correctly, it is safe to operate.
