6 Maintenance
This chapter contains information on the following:
• Safe maintenance of the machine
• Using operating resources
• Maintenance work and maintenance intervals
• Instructions for disposal
• Starting up after periods of standstill
The maintenance list takes into account the cutter (base machine). Maintenance activities for modules,
tool inserts and options are found in the respective operating instructions.
Maintenance recommendation
Regular maintenance extends the lifetime of the cutter. Zünd Systemtechnik also recommends an
annual general inspection of the cutter with follow-up maintenance as needed. Depending on the
operating conditions, it may be advisable to reduce the interval.
To enable a swift general inspection, please have the accessory box ready for the service technician.
Decommissioning/extended downtimes and recommissioning
If the cutter is to be shut down or put out of operation for a long period, the modules should be
removed from the module carriage and the cutter should be preserved. Please contact your customer
service representative to arrange for the preservation of the machine or to put the machine back into
operation.
Qualification
Authorized service technician: Personnel authorized by Zünd Systemtechnik, their customer service or
contractual partners authorized by Zünd Systemtechnik.
Instructed operating personnel: Personnel of the operator instructed in maintenance by an authorized
service technician.
