2. Select Yes and press OK to restore the factory defaults. This will restart your phone.
Press Esc or select No then press OK to return to the User Settings menu without resetting
the phone to the factory defaults.
8.5 Pswd Settings
This allows you to alter the communication parameters of the phone. You may need to configure
these parameters if your system does not support automatic provisioning.
Each of the parameters in this menu is protected by a password that you need to enter to make
changes to the settings. If you do not know the password, you can view but not alter the
parameters. The menu name
Pswd Settings indicates that you need a password to modify the
settings.
When you select Menu | Pswd Settings the display shows:
This example shows seven rows, though in practice the display can show only three rows at once.
As you press the
Up and Down keys, the display scrolls through the list of choices. The options
include:
Password. Enter and change the password, and logout of password mode. See section 8.5.1.
IP Settings. Configure IP addresses and related parameters. See section 8.5.2.
SIP Settings. Configure parameters needed by the phone to communicate with the SIP proxy and
registrar servers. See section 8.5.3 on page 109.
VLAN. Configure the VLANs for the various Ethernet ports. See section 8.5.4 on page 113.
Names & Numbers. Enter the names and phone numbers associated with the phone. See section
8.5.5 on page 115.
Audio. Configure the sounds that the phone can play. See section 8.5.6 on page 117.
8.5.1 Password
When the phone is shipped from the factory, it has the default password:
