8.4.5.9 Startup Tone
This parameter specifies the tone that the phone emits when you power up the phone.
1. Select Menu | User Settings | Audio | Startup Tone . The display shows:
This example shows five rows, though in practice the display can show only three rows at
once.
2. Select an option using the Up and Down keys. When you move to a different selection, the
phone plays the particular sound.
3. Press the OK button to select a tone. The phone changes the Startup tone and returns to the
Audio display shown in section 8.4.5.
8.4.5.10 Custom Audio
This section describes the method of selecting a custom tone that indicates an incoming call.
In examples throughout this section, the first line of the display of the screen images shows:
If you are selecting a custom tone to indicate an internal call, the first line of the display will show:
If you are selecting a custom tone to indicate a second call (an incoming call while you are on
another call), the first line of the display will show:

for internal ring tone, or section 8.4.5.6 for second call tone.
1. When you select custom , the display shows:
The phone shows a new bar every second and maintains the total time on the right of the
third row of the display. Every 10 seconds the phone clears the bars and then starts to show
them one by one again.
