Error codes
The error code list will be gradually filled with appropriate actions to resolve the errors. Some errors
can be eliminated by restarting the device. A HAL error may indicate an error in the measurement
head.

HAL Error Codes

Error Correction
1000
The HAL-worker-thread or one of the
communication threads has been
aborted rude. This can occur only during
Dispose if the concerned
thread does not respond to the
appropriate stop-request.
This error code is handled internally be
the HAL and should never
arrive in the application.
1001
Internal error. Usually caused by a
programming error (e.g. cast-error) or
if some expected prerequisite is not
fullfilled (e.g. missing RAM-disk)
1002
An unexpected exception occured (e.g.
system-error).
The origin exception is provided as
InnerException of the HalExcep1tion.
1003
Differences between the local- and the
head- device settings.
A error in the configuration-settings has
been detected, e.g. a mandatory
settings-value is missing or is out of the
defined range.
Retrieve device information with use-case
S101 of the IOLMaster 700 Service Tool.
Differences between the device settings of
the computer base and the measurement
head can be corrected with use-case S301
or S401.
1004
A HidDeviceException has been catched
and rethrown as HalException.
The origin exception is provided as
InnerException of the HalException.
This error can occur, if Read/Write to the
USB-device failed.
1005
The detected firmware-version of the
device-head is too old.
Update device head firmware with use-
case S105 of the IOL Master 700 Service
Tool.
1006
A communication-error to the device-
head has been detected, e.g.
wrong checksum, wrong frame,
undefined status-values.
Retrieve device information with use-case
S101 of the IOLMaster 700 Service Tool.
1007
The device-head has detected and
reported a hardware-failure, e.g.
temperature exceeds a critical limit.
- Check the function of the measurement
head fan
- Check the laser power sensor
1008
The Microcontroller rejected a command
because the command or one
of its parameter is not valid, not allowed
at this time or currently
not supported. This error is reported via a
NAK-quitation to a command.
